Hey y'all, I'm Shelby Guffey-a simple, old-fashioned, Jesus-loving young woman from small-town Missouri. I'm the eldest daughter of three younger siblings, a recent 2025 homeschool graduate (K-12th), and I work as a dance teacher, babysitter, and singer/songwriter.

I started this blog to share about the things that are near to my heart. I believe in living slow and intentional, trusting the Lord daily, and sharing biblical truth and values to the world.

I enjoy music, books, thrifting, hanging out with friends & family, and spending time in God's Word. I value faith, family, small town roots, American patriotism, old-fashioned traditions, and the simple things in life. I touch on all these things in my blog, along with topics like biblical womanhood, modesty, courtship, homeschooling, and anything else I feel like sharing about.

I named this blog "Living Set Apart In A Modern World" because my aim is to inspire others who might struggle like me when it comes to being different because of our faith in Christ. If you're looking for encouragement to live boldly for Christ in a world that has forgotten Him-you're in the right place. Let's grow together, set apart but never alone.
